本标准给出了两种方法。第一法为不溶度指数法，等同采用国际乳品联合会标准
IDF129A:1988《乳粉和乳粉制品-不溶度指数的测定》；第二法为溶解度法。
本标准代替GB/T 5413.29-1997《婴幼儿配方食品和乳粉 溶解性的测定》。
本标准所代替的历次版本发布情况为：
——GB 5413-1985、GB/T 5413.29-1997。
